The 2022 Round Top Music Festival is underway at Festival Hill. Master Class performances continue throughout the month featuring professional musicians daily through July 16. This week’s events include the Opening Chamber Music Program Saturday, July 11 at 3:30 p.m. at the Festival Concert Hall, followed by the Texas Festival Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy Roger Myers on the viola, Monday, June 13 at 1:30 p.m., Nancy Ambrose King on the Oboe Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., Joan Kwuon on the Violin Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Drew Pattison on the bassoon Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and Victor Chavez on the clarinet Friday at 1:30 p.m. For a full list of performers, or to purchase tickets, visit festivalhill.org.

Movie Night

The second of five movie nights hosted by Round Top Lions Club in conjunction with hamburger night at the Round Top Rifle Hall will be June 11. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be the featured film. Buy a burger meal and enjoy a free movie! Movies begin at 6:30 p.m.

Round Top Rifle Hall

The Round Top Rifle Hall Monday Night Hamburger Social is the first through third Monday of each month. The Hall opens at 5:30 p.m., and the order window is open from 6-8 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA. Live Events

The last Sunday of each month, Blue Mule Winery hosts Red’s Name That Tune Bingo starting 3 p.m. Come out to win prizes, trophies and make new friends with a family-friendly sing-a-long.

Round Top Family Library

Round Top Family Library is open Monday-Friday from 1:30- 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Adult Yoga meets Mondays at 5 p.m. A low-impact strength training class meets Wednesdays at 10 a.m. during May and June. Please bring light weights for this class. Summer Chess Club is for ages seven to adult. They meet every Wednesday in June and July from 2-3 p.m.

The Kids S.E.E. summer program is underway. These classes are free and focus on science, cooking, arts and gardening. This program is offered to children entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

Summer Art for Teens (ages 13-18) is held Mondays and Wednesdays in June and July from 3:30-5 p.m. Class size is limited so reserve your spot today.

Thursday, June 16 at 4 p.m. enjoy “Oceans of Fun with Storyteller Margaret Clauder”! Captain Maggie will perform a hilarious puppet show taking children on an imaginary ocean adventure! Meet numerous delightful puppets and marionettes along the way, while navigating the deep blue sea. This is a free program great for the entire family.

Round Top-Carmine ISD

RTC ISD offers several options for camp throughout the summer. The Band Program is for grades 5-12. Text rtcband512 to 81010 for more information and to stay updated throughout the school year.

Basketball Camp is July 11-13 for grades 2-5 is 9-10:30 a.m., grades 6-8 is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and grades 9-12 is 2-4 p.m. Cost is $50. Registration deadline is June 30.

Volleyball Camp is July 27- 29. Grades 2-5 is from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., grades 6-8 is 12:30-2:30 p.m., and grades 9-12 is 3-6 p.m. Registration deadline is June 30.

Summer Skill Work is for incoming 7-12 grades only. Session 1 will be held Mondays through Fridays, June 6 through July 22 from 9 to 10 a.m. Session 2 will be held Monday through Thursdays, June 6 through July 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. Athletes may attend 1 session per day. This is free and there is no registration deadline.

Strength and Conditioning for incoming 7-12 graders will be held in two sessions. Session 1 is Mondays through Fridays, June 6 through July 22 from 8-9 a.m. Session 2 is Mondays through Thursdays, June 6 through July 21 from 4-5 p.m. Athletes may attend 1 session per day. This is free and there is no registration deadline.

Sons of Hermann

The next meeting will be held June 23. Guests are asked to wear red, white and blue for flag day on June 14. Jeanette Schoenst will present the program. A hot meal will be served for dinner, members are asked to bring dessert.
