Holy Cross Services

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

March 2 through April 6 begins our journey to Easter with Lenten Services held each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Pastor Beck will have a special sermon series based on the book “The Screwtape Letters” by C.S. Lewis. The book is a fictional novel, written in the format of a series of letters from an experienced demon to his nephew, a demon in training. Each of the 31 short letters give instructions on how to trick, tempt and mislead a Christian away from the faith. Lewis wrote the book as an apologetic for the faith, showing us an example-in-reverse of how to stand up to temptation. Topics that will be covered on Wednesday services are “The Pitfalls of Pain and Pleasure,” “The Power(lessness) of Prayer?” and “The Scheme Against The Self.”

Palm Sunday will be April 10. Maundy Thursday worship is Thursday April 14 at 7 p.m. Good Friday worship is Friday April 15 at 7 p.m. Easter Sunday services will be Sunday April 17 with sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., breakfast at 7:30 a.m., Festival worship at 9 a.m. and the Sunday School/ Easter Egg hunt at 10 a.m.
