Fruit Tree Field Day Postponed

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be postponing the Multi-County Fruit Tree Field Day in Windale that was scheduled for May 22. This event traditionally is one of the largest fruit tree events in the state annually and therefore we don’t make this decision lightly. We are evaluating our options and will try to reschedule for a fall meeting.

Supplies and Goodbyes' at LGISD

Wednesday night was the first of two days of “Supplies and Goodbyes” pick-ups at La Grange Hermes and Intermediate Schools. The staff made it a festive-type atmosphere as teachers were also able to say goodbye to their students. Holy Cross Worship Services Resume Sunday

After Bizarre Deer Kill in Waldeck, Speculation About Big Cat Surfaces

David and Linda McCall of Waldeck woke up to a gruesome sight Sunday morning. About 50 yards from their back door laid a deer with its guts ripped out. A trail of bloody, matted grass indicated where the deer had been dragged around the yard.
