La Grange Volunteer Fire Department put out a small grass fire on Petter Rainosek Loop Sunday, May 10.
Firefighters received a call around 2 p.m. that day reporting two small fires that got out of control. Fire Chief Frank Menefee said someone at the property was burning some brush. The fire spread to the pasture and burned about an acre of grass, Menefee said.
